A shared restoration that became a creative community.

Before the restoration

A place left in difficult condition.

The property had been badly misused and then abandoned. It was full of leftover waste and degraded material. Before it could become a studio, most of the work was practical: clearing, handling and transforming the material aftermath, then restoring and renovating the place.

Twelve months of shared work

Six artists, one sustained effort.

During COVID, six artists came together for twelve months and worked day and night on the site. The restoration became a powerful community process: not only making a place usable again, but learning how to work together through sustained attention.

Tre Luci is now a sanctuary for artists and a creative environment where community continues to grow.

Some people come to work; others come simply to spend time in a place that feels coherent and cared for. The quality of relation between people is central to that experience.

For Land Therapy, Tre Luci is a major precedent: place-based repair can bring art, culture and community into a shared, grounded relationship.
